What is your team?

Postby Stonecold on Sun Nov 17, 2002 3:04 am

I am using lakers, but sometime i want use wizard. Now i can't play season or franchise yet because it is hard to pick between the two teams. Damn, i can't make up my mind which one to use now. I like JOrdan and KOBE. UMMM. Anybody else?

I am a Lakers fan, but I hardly ever use em on NBA Live. Haven't got it yet (Euro), but I guess I'll start with the Clippers, both a season and a franchise (playing the season, simming the franchise).

If I had to pick between the Lakeshow and MJ Inc. I would take Shaq and Kobe. Not a big fan of the 'latest' MJ. He just ain't MJ to me no more.

MJ used to be the best but now the truth is out, he's too old... needs to put away the shoes and the ego, oh and maybe he should sleep with his wife instead of hoes across the country, I HATE JORDAN, go with Kobe and Shaq, civilized and dangerous

M.J. is still the best

Postby madhooper on Sun Nov 17, 2002 6:30 am

I don't like Kobe or all the hype. He's not a "GREAT" player. He's good player that plays with the biggest bully in the game.

He's played his whole like with the biggest C in the nba in the last 20 years.

Take Shaq off that team and what do u get?
Their current record with Kobe taking over 40 shots a game and making less than half of them.

Stop watching ESPN's highlights and start checking the stats

lol

:D

Lakers are the most over hyped team since all the Knick and Utah teams in the 90's.

M.J. is almost 40 and still killing people. Statistics show he's taking less shots than his so-called "GREAT YEARS" and making more of them while having more Asts and look what he does for him team. He makes them all (even Stack) better.

Kobe just shots, shots, shots, shots!

 My blood pressure is really high now. I'll holla at you guys later.

Holla!!!
oh did I mention he shots to much?

i hate Kobe, but i can definatly admit he's a great player...best player in the league? No. Best shooting guard in da league?....tough one but theres this lil Mcgrady guy...i think he takes that title IMHO.

Oh and Shaq is a walking offensive foul

I am using Magic, T-mac is the man, but I also like Lakers and Wizard. I'd like to trade Grant Hill to Rockets exchange for Yao Ming

first of all kobe is only 24 and already has been to the all-star game 4 times and won mvp of one, won a slam dunk contest, won 3 rings, came out of high school.i dont remember anyone else doing this and what do you know about the best player in the league?no one knows who the best player in the league is. tracy is a great player too out of high school but i dont think he is better than kobe...but that's what i think. he is better than the rest of the players in the league right now in my opinion.

I'm not a Kobe fan but the way the Lakers were built is why he must take 40+ shots with Shaq out. They're designed to be a two man team, when you lose that other man which just happens to be Shaq who frees up their outside shooters then you've got to pick up the slack somewhere and thats what Kobe tries to do. The teams weaker players are exposed over and over with Shaq gone. Kobe is a talented player but without Shaq or without someone else who can take (and make) shots they won't win.

well if we go by the amount of championship rings then i guess Devon George, Glen Rice, and Samaki Walker are all Superstars. When we say "best" player or "best" shooting guard you have to go by pure talent and skill...dont get me wrong this is VERY hard to judge in a TEAM based game like basketball because sometimes the better player or the better team loses because of the situations (right Laker fans?). You wanna look at records look at the Lakers Record with only Kobe...then look at Orlando's record with only Mcgrady...dont get me wrong they are very close but Mcgrady edegs out Kobe in Fg%, blocks and 3pt% oh and he's a lil taller in bball that does help alot! You put stackhouse with Shaq and u still have a championship team but could Stackhouse take on Mcgrady??? Now if you ask who's the best "player" in the NBA again its tough...but look at this....what other player in the league can play EVORY position....and is 7 feet tall...with mad energy...AND mad hops...yes a 7 footer with hops...yup Kevin Garnett probably the best single player in the leauge. Oh by the way im a Knicks fan hehe (sigh)

I have 2 franchises right now, 1 is orlando, easiest to get them to the championship, then there is the nuggets, hehe, need I say more

will be a definite challenge to get the nuggets to the playoffs, still in season 1 tho (playing, not simming... yet...)

ok i do agree with you about kobe not leading a team.......but you gotta admit he WILL be the best player in the league once he gets in his prime and he will be able to lead a team without shaq once he learns the game a lil mo.

i have been playing the heat ever since live 97, i had been playing the suns before.
but the wizards seem like a fun live team too. it seems to be a bit boring to play the lakers though, cause they are by far the best team.

Well Ndnpimp i agree he WILL be aung the top 3 in the league, you forget Tracey is mad young too and its not like Garnett is 30 years old either he's only like 3 years older than Tracy n Kobe...in fact i think Tracy is younger than Kobe...could be wrong though. But hey "showboat" has the talent i jus hope he dosent screw it up with a bad attitude...

That was his nickname when he came into the league...i think shaq gave him that one. He used to show off quite a bit actually he has calmd down alot though. Sometimes every once in a while someone still calls him showboat...its better than Mcragy's nickname..."pumkinhead" now you know why most jus call him T-mac
