Questions about transition D and scoring

Hi I started playing nba live 2003 a few days ago. Here are my questions :

Q1:
(At Starter level)When my team misses shots, the opponent's transition offense is unbelievably fast. Lots of times even I used turbo to make my defender run a little faster to catch up the opponent on the fast break but the CPU team still outruns my team and scores lots of fast break points .

Any suggestions ?

Q2:
I found that the best way to score is to drive to the hoop, because my 3 pters get blocked many times , plus because of the problem i said in Q1, when i miss jumpers, i have a hard time defending the fast break.
Any advice ?

Did you guys realize that whenever player slam dunks, the sound is like throwing a rock into a metal garbage bin ?
I am still not used to it, i hope there are some sound files available
