Are there injuries in franchise mode?

Because in NBA 2001 I never had any injuried player but there were injured players in the other teams. It would be more real in this way, I think.

well at the start of my first season wit hthe cavs, for some reason it started out with desagna diop injured
he missed 5 games with twisted ankle
i still dont get y he was injured

Same happend to me with Paul Pierce...
There was a medical sign next to his name, but nothing in the Injuries list...

the medical sign is when it's bad (like not playable) and i believe the bandaid means there's something wrong, but you can still play them
