ok so i click on players.DBF and the following message appears:

exel works fine..., but that's not what you'r gonna do, you should right-klick on it and chose properties, then you should see if any of the boxes is crosed over... if they are, remove the crosses

no, Read-only did not have a tick in its box

Can you edit other things such as; head gear and sneakers? Reason I'm asking is because I tried it and I think it has neen the cause of my game locking up. You know the part when all the players run out the locker room at the start of the game? Thats when my system locks up.
BTW...great job Bunny. I really needed one of these.

thedrizzle: if the game runns and you can get in to the game, although you can't play.., it probeby isn't the editors foult, although i don't know what teh prob. is...
and yes you can change head ware and sneakers...

how do i successfully delete a team using toolkit. i managed to delete the team from the edit teams section in the toolkit. but when i load up live i still see the names of those teams included. with no rosters of course. lets say i wanted to delete Utah from my rosters including logos. and anything else associated with the team. how do i do that?

then i don't know what teh problem is..., try to specefy a diferent data-folder like a savefolder or better, the '\currentdb\'-folder...

raptors6thman: don't know if you can sucesfuly delete a whole team..., scinse nobody has succesfully created another team from scratch, thare probebly doesn'y work to deleate one ether...
if you'r gonna play season or franshise or something like that, i suggest that you just take away utah from the shuddle instead, although i don't understand why someone would wan't that...

I haven't figured out the formula NBA Live 2003 uses to calculate the overall rating (and no, it's not just an average of all the other ratings). Until I, or someone else discovers this, the overall rating must be manually adjusted. Sorry

In version 0.76 there area few things i noticed:

1) Can't edit block statistics in the development stats. Seems the block field simply serves as a second modifier for the defensive(i think) rebounds stats.

2) Can't find out how to switch/trade coaches with the editor. Is this possible? If not it would be a great addition.

3) Editing team names seems to create hell with the game.

4) When i create PG's for e.g., and give thema jump rating of 70 in an attempt to lmit them to simple layups (and select only simple layups from the dunk package) they still do fancy layups.

Other then these, the editor is really excellent, keep up the good work!

So...I still can't get this thing to work right. I uninstalled ms office 2000, now I have office XP installed, same problem:

I can't get the player select or team select drop down menu to work.

Whenever I hit create player, or create team, or whatever, it says "the database engine could not lock table 'players' because it is already in use by another person or process"

or could not lock table 'teams' if I was trying to create a team.

anyone have any idea why this is, has this ever happened to anyone else? it's driving me crazy.
I can still scroll between players and see them that way, and edit them.

Once, after hitting some buttons, I managed to get the player select scroll bar to work again, but I can't reproduce it.

I'm getting a new laptop, maybe I'll try it on there and see if it will work.

Any way to import players from one roster to another.. can't seem to get this to work get an error message. Thanks in advance for the help

please fix errors with V.76 and release. id love ot have updated where i could add in blocks to the DSTATS. thank you.

I haven't tried the new Toolkit yet, but I think this error is related to BDE. Just download and install it from Borland.com and you should be ok.

Hmm, I think I had problems with borland drivers before or something.

Yes, it worked! I had a heck of a time searching around to download bde in the first place, had to go to other sites, but then it worked.
