need help toolkit??

ok can someone explain to me this...i change exsisting players names with toolkit 2001 but how you save this changes in toolkit to be shown in nba 2003 because if i for example change samaki walker into Nate thurmond with toolkit doesn't change in the game...so is it possible to change players names with toolkit or not??..
