problem with customart 0 to 1

Postby D1X1NG on Wed Nov 27, 2002 2:34 am

well the cyberfaces instructions ask me to change customart 0 in xstartup.cfg to customart 1 ... I mean change the value.
well I changed it to 1 but the the game will not show up... I mean it loads and shows the movie and then after the movie it shows the nba logo on a big screen and gets stuck there...
but if I turn customart to 0 again its ok... very wierd, am I the only one with that problem, and do I have to enable custom art to be able to put any kind of cyberface?
thanks in advance!

Just a thought;
It's pretty drastic, but I'd try re-installing the game.
Once its re-installed, then try adding only the cyberface patch using the customart instructions.
What other 2003 patches have you installed? I think you were trying my TNT gameclock.
I'm guessin there may be a conflict/incompatability between some game graphic files on your system.
I've been experimenting with this new customart feature for 2003 that lets you overide the default graphics without altering the .viv files, and it doesn't seem to like to coexist with the traditional method used in past years of modifying the .viv files directly.
I've run into the same problem you experienced (game hangs on loading screen) when I tried to use the customart feature to overide the graphics in a .viv file that had been previously modified in the traditional method.

the tutorial already told that it would take longer loading time after the change...
