Hey I'm new, just got the game, and noticed the same thing. I play the game in 1024x768 but the menu screens look like crap...so I ask you pro's, how do I fix it. Thanks.

I think this can't be changed. It looks like the games was produced for Xbox and just converted for PC. They didn't even set the resolution in menu screens to PC specifications.
For example in the stats menu you can't scroll with the keyboard. Instead you have to push those buttons just like the console Live.

THIS IS A CONSOLE ARCADE GAME WHICH I PLAY ON PC !

Thanks, I thogut that may be the case, and if so...that sucks balls. This seems to be the case with all of the EA games for the PC this year. Oh well.

This resolution thingy in mind... On what resolution does the game start? NHL 2003 starts with 1024x768, and for some weird reason (or just a quality one) that particular resolution does not work on my monitor. In NHL I have to wait till it goes into a demo game before I get any picture. Then after I come out of the demo game the resolution has been changed and it works kind of fine. (Won't go into that whole AMD+GeForce 4 thing here...) Does the game start with that resolution??? I'd like to know before I go out and buy it. And is there a thing with the AMD and GeForce 4 combination on NBA or is it just with NHL?

I just hate my crappy monitor... It's damn shame.

Try the demo. If it works for you the full game will too. I have an AMD + Geforce4 and no problems at all. Except of the low resolution menu ;-)

I'll have to try that once I get my computer online... Well the game is coming out on week 48 here in finland so, it isn't that much of a delay.

The demo is like the game, with some restrictions though?

The demo is just like the full game. The speed, graphics, sound, camera angles etc: all the same. Only difference is the limitation to a 4min game an you have no access to the strategy, statistic and replay menus.

That's not true, in Live 2000 you could set any resolution, I had live 2000 in 1024x768.

not to brag

My menu is in 1024x768 but the font is still not anti-aliased, i agree it does stink, but this is my only complaint about the game...

When you have a good graphic card:
Try to set Anti Aliasing to 2x or Quincux (in Windows, not in the game). Then the menus look great. With this settings (+ AF) I get about 30-40 fps on a XP 2000 + GeForce4 Ti 4200 under Win98. That's enough for smooth gameplay

please help
