roster patch problem

Thu Jul 24, 2003 5:06 am

Hello, I ran a NBA Live 2003 (For PC) Sim League and I have come across a serious problem. For my league i let the computer play each other for Live simmings for the Finals. After the Finals were complete i went to the off-season and after the Finals MVP, Champs Playoffstats, and when it was suppose to load up and generated the roookies, retire players, etc..the game crashes to the desktop

Now before i finished the finals so that it would count after Game 3 i simmed the last two games to go to the offseason so see who's up for retirement. It WORKED then. Now it doesn't.

I have reinstalled the game (moved my saves to a different folder) deleted everything from live..all patches and that. Put the saved files back in (including the backup file) and it still does that. I even used a file from the middle of the season and simmed all the way to the Finals finished up..At offseason it still crashes.

So its not looking good at all. A file must have gotten corrupted somehow that wont allow those files to go anywhere. I used a editor program to change positions and stats but the last time i used it was at the end of the regular season. I CANNOT start over because its we've just completed the 3rd season and there is over 320 trades made and the would take a long long time to fix. So if anyone knows anything about this just reply with a solution if there is one

If you've edited the Franchise files, you may have entered an invalid value somewhere in one of the DBF files. Do you have a backup of your Franchise before you made the changes?

i have backups and it has the same problem..But even when i had played up to game 3 it worked then when i did a test to the offseason, but when i finished none of it worked..Not even the backups..I hadn't touched anything

Did you edit anything before you started the season, or more to the point, before your earliest backup?
