simple help Im sure

Postby hedpetcd on Tue Jul 15, 2003 1:19 am

Ive installed the new NLSC update, but Im unable to get any rookie patches to show up in game. Ive tried tony's top 3 pick set and cant get it to work, Ive also tried a different carmelo update and that hasn't worked as well. all other player patches work fine for me, so not sure if there's a different technicque with these rookies.

I DB edited all the rookie names and put "False" to the left of their name thinking that would make a difference, but that didn't work as well.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Did you change their player packages?

actually I haven't.

I noticed in the readme that it had all kinds of specifications in terms of their appearances and so forth to put in when you created the players, but since the NLSC roster already has all the rookies, I figured I didn't need to adjust anything in that area. If this is a mistake, please let me know.

thx for taking the time to respond btw

Yeah, you gotta change the player packages. Read some readme files, per example, the one who comes along the top3 draft picks patch by Tony, there you can see what to change.

Hope it helps, (Y)

Since not everyone downloads cyberface updates, I have left rookies with their created PLAYERPKG. There are two ways to remedy this:

Rather than naming the player's folder LEJAMES (for example), name it so that it matches the created PLAYERPKG (eg ZZZZAA). You will also have to rename LEJAMES.FSH to match the folder name.

The more desirable option would be to edit LeBron James' PLAYERPKG, changing it to LEJAMES. You can then install the patch as normal.
