F.T.W. wrote:thats right psych, by mass edit i mean edit one column (fg, height, fatigue) for every player. make all players in that db file be faster, shoot better et cetera.

also db commander disables the ability to move a row from one db file to another db file. as in, if you wanted to put a created player into one of andrew's rosters.

okay, everytime i post in this thread, someone is like, 'what the fuck is that guy talking about?' so go ahead, bring it on....

If this is what you're talking about, then hopefully I will be able to integrate it in somehow...

Ok, I've been working on the players.dbf editor, and I've got a few accomplishments. The first is the program's ability to read from files; the second is its ability to write to files. So now its just a matter of adding one field at a time, which is a very lengthy and boring process. I'm looking for some people who are interested in basic pre-finished tests for me; just to make sure the editable fields that I've added to the program work OK. I was thinking of making the first testing pre-release after I've completed up to the weight field. Is anyone intersted in testing?

Also, me and Larry (my web designer) are thinking of starting a new website similar to Air Assaults, except with short video clips. After I made my first clip (of 3' tall VC dunking) I discovered how fun it is. The site would of course have an introductory tutorial on how to make clips, and then SUBMITORAMA! :D So is anyone intersted in that as well?

And if you noticed I changed the name to Qweet's Announcement thread, because it's becoming so much more than just the JI :D

BTW FTW and Yohance, thanks for the kind words :P

Yes that'd be awesome, although you might want to ask air assault if he wants to do it before you do. Just curtosy (curtosey? curtousy? Whatever being nice is. Stupid spelling :x.)

Yo, no problemo, man!

I don't have time to do or manage video clips anyway.
I'll even submit some of mine to your site (if you start getting it going) and even get the Top placing every week. Heh.

And oh, <<colin>> it's "courtesy".

Thanks a lot, Superman and Nick. I'll be contacting you guys shortly, as I've finished up the height field, and it seems to working good for me  Some more good news: Superman has joined the NBA Live Junk team. His great patches will be updated over a period of time.

So if there's anyone else who wants to run a 5 minute test on my program please reply! All you have to do is edit a few fields and make sure it runs fine in the game!

i'd love to test for you Qweet.

i'd love to see a tutorial for video making, cuz i'm completely clueless. the 3' VC dunking is pretty tough competition for any submittal.

the main thing I was referring to with the 'mass edit' thing was that i have a team of created players with ratings down to 50 and i would like a way to 'swoop' them into the latest roster patch. there are other things that some people do with the mass edit feature like 'tweaking' ratings to get the speed more realistic (whatever 'reality' is) but i don't know much about that stuff besides 'stories' i've heard....

Thanks FTW... i will be contacting testers shortly.

As for Superman's work, all I've got right now is his retro Huskies jersey for the raptors, and its quite incredible.

So check out my forum everyone. I love people to post.

Hey everybody... its been a long time since i posted here

I have been really busy with school projects if anyone acres ( Nick). Now I am back in the game (ba doom boom ting) and am working on new programs. For starters, I've been making an installer for Nick's new amazing cyberface package. If you want a preview of what it looks like... check Nick's thread under patching issues. Its called "for qweet... fcp installer..." or something, but there's pictures there. Anyway, I've given up on the players.dbf editor for now, and instead have concentrated my efforts making individual "wizards" so to speak, such as Nick's installer, a blotch, and DSTAT remover. I'll continue to update my progress here, but a new blotch should be on the way soon. Anyhoo, since this thread is back up, feel free to post in it. :? That made no sense.

BTW I should be adding Superman's amazing patches to my site shortly. They're there, but no links page is up yet.

PS: Im going away tomorrow and wont be back till wednesday.
