Draft picks....

Sun Jun 01, 2003 7:13 am

Is there anyway I can get a better draft pick instead of 28th pick all the time. I lose the first round of playoffs and I still get 28th pick for the first round...

the only way you can get a better draft pick is do poorly during the season. If you got 28th (with no custom teams) then you were the second best in the league (how'd you loose the first round BTW.) The better your record the worst your draft position.

It doesnt not matter how you do in the playoffs, because in the Real Lottery/Draft picks it is done before the finals, and CFs.

Say you get 55 wins (good) in the season, but get kicked out first round in the playoffs you will get around 24-29th pick.

If you get 42 (not great) wins and just make the playoffs, then you get to the finals, you will get 14-20 probably.

The playoff teams draft according to their regular season record, so the playoff team with the worst record drafts 14th, while the best team drafts 29th.

Then all the non-playoff teams enter the lottery, and the nonplayoff team with the worst record has the highest chance of getting the #1 pick.

How would I edit the wins and losses in a DBF editor then. I cant seem to find which one it is. Theres DIVISIONW, CONFWINS, LASTTEN, DIVISIONL and a whole bunch of other stuff but which one would I edit to have more losses and fewer wins. Lets say in a 28 game season, I won 20 games and loss 8. How would I edit it so it would be 15 wins and 13 losses.

You would have to edit everyone's winnes and losses so that they matchup. You need to edit all of those fields.
