NBA Live "loses" controllers during games

Sometimes when I'm playing my man stops and I can't do anything with my controller anymore. When I pause the game and go to the controller setup all controllers except "keyboard" and "keyboard 2" are gone.
I can alt-tab back to Windows XP and check my Gravis GamePad Pro in the Control Panel under Game Controllers and it works.
When I quit and restart NBA Live they're all there again (Gravis, Generic, HammerHead, my custom config, AfterShock, etc.).
Happened in the demo as well.

Could be an out dated driver issue. Try searching for an updated driver for your controller.
