Help me,problem with an error

When I run Nba Live 2003,before the Easports logo appears the game returns me on desktop and says that an error has occurred,which says:cannot access hard drive...My Pc configuration is: Amd 1700xp+,GeForce4 Mx 440,256 DDR of memory....i don't know that the problem is??? HELP ME!! thank you

to reinstall it?? are you sure?? i send an e-mail to the easports and they said that i must update drivers for my sound card,so i installed the new drivers but nothing happend,again the same error appears....

I have the same problem, are you using windows 2000? I think you should update the windows service pack, the requirments said that it should have atleast windows service pack 3 for win2000 which I cant download because its 125 mb and im only on a 56kbps modem.

no i don't have windows 2000...i have windows 98 SE.....i really don't know what the problem is????

look,yesterday i reinstalled the game and it worked!!!i played for about 2 hours the game and then i went to sleep,but today when i tried to play again there wasn't any error but the game everytime stops after the easport logo appears...and the only thing i can do is to press ctrl+alt+delete......what's the problem whit this game????i am getting really nervous...

Hehe, reinstall it agian, if you don't want to update to winxp, I guess you have to reinstall the game everyday.

try doing a fresh install of win98se, then update any drivers you need to for the video card, sound card and controller (if you use any). then install the game - i've had that error on win xp, but that was because i had saved a controller profile for my gravis gamepad pro and i used it accidentally for my newly purchased thrustmaster firestorm dual power - i got that same error and the game would freeze during gameplay and bring me back to my desktop.

to fix the problem, i used system restore (to a point before i installed the game; i love this feature; i set up a restore point just before i install new software), then updated my video card drivers, my sound card drivers and my controller drivers, and then reinstalled the game - i've been playing the game all day yesterday (pretty much non-stop) and have had no problems whatsoever. hope this helps.


good luck. if all else fails, i would strongly suggest to install win xp (either version).

in addition to my message above, i don't think it's the game, but maybe your settings (i.e., OS, drivers, possibly corrupted files, etc.); also, try defragmenting your hard drive.

i think i now what i'am going to do....i will format the hard disc and then it will work..... only the problem is to install win98 SE or WinXp.....thank you for the help....

i know what the problem is....i don't know exactly what the problem is but,i have learned that when i run the internet explorer(that has been shipped with nba live 2003)no matter if i am connected to internet or not,after i run it the game always works perfect.....know when i turn on the computer and before i run nba live 2003 i run internet explorer and everything is fine(for now,because this is only a few days solition by

I had this problem on the 2001 edition on a XP. With 2001, I had the logo appear and it would just stay BLACK. What I did was I exit the program by ultilizing the CTL+ALT+DEL, then ran the program again. Then it just work. I had to do this all the time. I think it is something with the compatibility.
