Well I tried to give this game a chance. tried all the roster patches that claims to make gameplay more realistic but it didnt help. In the end I was just more upset and frustrated than anythign else and a game shouldnt be about frustration anyway you would think after 2 years EA Canada would make a basketball game that was actually good. notice how Tim hasn't shown his face around here since release? Hes ashamed and he should be. For someone who play the live series so long ,you would think as a producer he would tell EA that look PC guys want realism not arcade bullshit. he has lost all credibility and now is on their side (EA)
Ive lost all faith in this game and this is my last purchase. This is sad, just wouldnt have thought that 3 years ago that a great game like live2000 would end up like this.

Try using arcade mode. It is more slow-paced and more like a simulation than simulation mode.

Though I find it really weird that in order to play good D, one has to have a good offense. Where as in the real nba, teams with poor offense can play good D.

clay ... i know how u feel. I play it because it is the onlygame for PC (unfortunately the best IMHO). So how can i play it? The start is painful because u must forget all the knowledge u now about basketball and get used to the rules that take palce in live 2003. That means pointless AI and the only way to play against AI is to play pointless game too. For example one rule is that ... ignore the defence ... it does not excist ... u will score anyway...
So ... if u have not a choise ... it is possible to become like live ... but it takes time. If u can play sega games ... whay the hell did u buy the damn thing in the first place???

Live is dead ?

Hi there,
I know it's realy frustrating :( Boy I don't know how often I stopped playing NBA Live 2003 and went back to Madden 2003. BUT I'am really sure that some of the great guys in the community will get matters solved.
So don't give up wait and hope. You paid (I hope) for this game and I think someone with a real heart for B-Ball will give you all the excitement you want from Live 2K3. The potential is in the game  . We just have to find it !!!
Don't get me wrong ! I'am seriously pissed by EA for this game!
I think it's not the task of the community to make a game playable (in realistic terms) but the damned duty of the creators. Well it seems they have no honor left and only look at their bank account :(

for months and months, i killed myself...

i couldn't wait to get the new nba live! i finally got it, i enjoyed it... but then it all started to go dull...

i'm a guy, who usual can master any video game on it's hardest level, there's no ball game that i haven't master until live 2003.

yes, i don't mind the competetion, that's sweet.... but the problem is, there really isn't anyway to "D" up the computer... all they do against me is go inside, and shoot that little 5-7 foot j, all day... and run them fast breaks.

and on superstar, it's so hard to score, get to the rim, and also shoot jumpers. it's really dumb now...

i like the old people at ea sports that use to make nba live 99, i felt that was an ill game. i liked that kind of style, if that style had stayed, plus with all new moves and features that we have now; ea would be ontop.

i beleive that the 2k series sort of reminds me of nba live 99... the style anyway. i've every live since 95, i think 99 was the best... but i'm afraid to say this, but? ea sports, sega is the best right now and there's no question there.

madden football is ea's best game, and sega only with there second footall game (2k2 nfl, and now nfl 2k3) is even better than madden...

ha... what more can i say?

makaveli the don.
