Please Help!!!!!Slow framerate

I have been playing NBA Live 2003 for 3 months now. Before I got my DSL, I think my game's frame rate was allright, but now it is kinda slow.
The game runs perfectly on my friend's computer, he only bought his computer for a year, but I bet my video card is better than his.
I have Celeron 733, 384 SDRam, Geforce4 MX420 with the latest driver, DirectX9, WinXP home. Do you guys think it's the ram's problem??? I think my video card is good enough for me to run all medium setting.

i doubt it is your ram
you said that it ran fine before you installed DSL.
maybe you should try unplugging your network card that your dsl modem is attached to and see if that fixes your problem..
