WANT TO HAVE HIGHER FRAMES PER SEC? I HAVE THE SOLUTION

Postby emir45 on Sat Jan 11, 2003 3:51 pm

Today I went in search of finding the newest driver, when suddenly I came up on a program which lets you change your preformance of you chipset in the graphic card. It lets you utelize programs that are running so that your game runs faster.
I have seen a improvement in about 7 frames per second more. Before I downloaded it and did all the setting, I had only 27 frames and now I am getting 37-40.
I am telling you, this will work if only you understand a little bit about drivers.

Go to this link: www.guru3d.com/files
and read all about so you know how that program works.
I believe that it is only for N VIDIA GRAPHIC CARDS, BUT THERE ARE OTHER LINKS TO GO TO FOR OTHER GRAPHIC CARDS.

I expect most people are already aware of this but I'll say it anyway - use caution folks when increasing (overclocking) the clock/bus speed of your video card.

The increased speed causes increased heat. which the card is not designed to handle. This can cause errors or even physical damage to your video card.

Yes, the program can cause your card to be damaged but only if you set the option tio Enable. My option is Disabled because I am afraid of getting the graphic card broken, but if so, this tool lets you edit other thing that can Increase your speed up to 10 times because I lets you utelize programs that are running while you play. This means, some programs run when you play NBA Live 2003, but this program lets you stop thoses programs from running while using a 3D Card and increases you speed.

I just read in the Help OPTION OF THE Program about Overlocking and it says that the card will NOT BE damaged if you follow the insturctions of the manual. If you try to do it by yourself, you are risking of damage to your card, but following and doing what it says in the manual, it will NOT Brake your card.
So people, you don't have to worry. If you don't believe me, Download the program and read it by yourself and find out. DOWNLOADING THIS PROGRAM WILL NOT HARM YOUR HARD DRIVE

I am about to test the overclclocking my self and find out, I will follow the manuals insturctions.

Well, then, you're not overclocking your card

BTW - how do you test frame rate? Everyone sees to have these numbers, but everyone I've askes says "I just have an eye for it" :lol

Fraps - http://www.fraps.com - is a free program which you can run to display a frame rate counter in a corner if your screen during gameplay.

To find out what graphic card you have, you can go to START-RUN- open file= dxdiag.

Or you can go to DESKTOP-RIGHT CLICK- PROPERTIES- SETTING- ADVANCED and now look up on the tabs and your card name should be displayed
