I Have a few questions and I hope you'll be able to help me

First, I can't Alley Hoop! I guess it's not enough to only press on the Alley-Hoop key, because it just pass the ball, no dunk involved!
what else do I have to do in order to Alley Hoop?

Another question, how do I Backstep? and how do I make a "trun around jump Shot" on the post?

Waiting for your Answers...

i'm not sure about the stepback, but i think for alley-oops your player has to have a clear path to the basket, meaning there is no defender between him and the basket. for me it usually happens only on fast-breaks and back door plays.

That's another problem I have

Postby idanlevi on Fri Dec 20, 2002 11:34 pm

When I run to fast-breaks with 2 players, the player who run without the ball (who suppose to dunk) stops his run when he gets to the 3 point area, like he is waiting for me to pass him the ball and then he'll shoot a three point shot. - what's wrong woth going to the basket for an Alley-Hoop???
does anyone know why soed it happenes?

this shouldn't matter but do you set your plays to any particular play or use the automatic playcalling?

well i havent used the alley-oop-button.

you wanna alley-oop? first you need a really good dunker you pass the ball to.

if hes gettin open under the rim, pass the ball to him, he does it automatically. if he's not wide open, use the direct-pass-button.

- there are some plays where your player is cuttin in the zone. the regular post play doesnt give you much opportunities to do the alley-oop. look for some plays with lots of cuts.

- use the direct-pass-button when he's gettin under the rim and he'll do it. some times the passes are good, some times the passes are bad and the defenders catch the ball. it s alot easier against a zone to make alley-oops. try it!

- especially in fastbreak situations you can do it if you have a majority in the offense. try to bind the defender and give the pass to your dunker.

Stepback and Turnaround Jumshots depenp on your controller you use. Search the forum!

for the alley-hoop, you have to have a player stand under the rim. Do you have gamepad with two analog sticks? if you don't, then you can't do the stepback.
for the back up, you just press the button when the ball is in your hand

you can backstep without using the analog... i ve held the crossover button while running forward and the player does a stutterstep/step back thing... but i have never been able to step back without running forward.

yeah you can do backstep on keyboard. You know how to do the triple threat moves? press the jab step and tap back, don't hold back just tap it. that is the only sure way of getting a step back. the crossover button on keyboard can only do random moves that you can do on freestyle. I use a controller and would recommend you get one coz its a lot better on both ends of the floor.
