memory issue

hey whatsup guys...before i start, here are the specs for my computer...
dell p4 1.3 ghz (a lot of hard disk space
128 mb rdram
geforce2mx/mx400 32 mb 4x agp (but a geforce4ti4200 8x agp 128 mb is on its way)
xp pro
i want 128 mb more memory...but i read that in order to upgrade 128 mb of memory, i have to buy two sticks of the 128 mb rdram (since they only work in twos)...but i read today that if i buy those two 128 sticks together, i would actually be adding another 256 mb or rdram to my system
...yeah, i was real excited hearing that--384 mb of ram, hey cant beat that for less than a 100 bones...but is what i read true...please get back to me as soon as possible...im about to order as soon as i get a reply...thanks
