Hello everybody!
I wonder if there's some kind of limit for the degree to which the skin of a player can be pale. Sounds complicated? Well, I'll try to explain:
When I looked at the .bmp of a white player like e.g. Dirk Nowitzki I found that the texture seemed pretty much "tanned" compared to the pale look of Dirk's in the game.
I then wanted to take my picture into the game. At first I took Cherokee Parks' tex as a template, putting my face on top of his and merging all that and directing Live 2003 to use this new texture for my created player.
The new face didn't look like I expected because it looked like Parks wore a mask of my face
Then I took Dirk's face, put mine on top and used the smudge tool of Photoshop in order to distribute my face color on Dirk's face. The result looked pretty decent as a texture (no longer like a mask) so I then put another hair style on and saved the bmp as fsh.
But when I wanted to have a look at my player the new face seemed to have no opacity as Dirk's face shone through causing the whole face to flicker. And there was Dirk's hair instead of the new hair style I put on!
So the question is this: Did my smudging which made the face look very pale caus this error? If so how do I match the colors of my original face with those of a player's face? And why did Dirk's hair shine through?
