Dream Team 2003 All-in-1, new EAZIP, fshtool fix + more

Postby nba2kstuff on Mon Dec 16, 2002 4:29 am

Hello Friends!

I wanted to provide the latest results of the work in progress to interested users and testers in the interim! please be careful as these works are not 100% tested in all configurations, the graphics need additional tweaking also (very time consuming). with the help of Briens new EAGRAPH it maybe easier to isolate some of the remaining anomalies!

many new programming and patch enhancemenst available for alpha @ nba2kstuff.

1) All-In-One example Dream Team Patch is available for alpha testing. this is a comprehensive patch that adds the 4 custom dream teams to all your rosters (like 90ALLstar teams). they can be played in exhibition mode and seem fun to me lol! the patch includes jerseys made by Vinlex for 2000, courts, and logos, and missing faces! it is a large patch unfortunately. these Vinlex jerseys were automatically converted by a custom developed program called cvtjersey2k3 ! it is not a perfect conversion but works pretty well and should make the historic jersey conversion much easier! it is still experimental! this patch includes the new EAZIP utility in order to be able to make the custom logos work!

2) new program EAZIP is also under development. it is modeled after Brien's and Tim's superlative EAPATCH program except provides some level of support for the new 2003 Big VIV file format. unfortunately this solution appears to be the safest alternative when you wish to add front-end artwork to your patches such as custom logos!

3) Modified version of FSHTOOL that fixes some bugs it had trying make the custom courts! also modified for use with EAZIP automatic extractions!

4) GETNBA2k3 program for helping making automatic patch installations

5) add charkes barkely face + database example using getnba2k3 and MDBF program

this stuff is hosted forming collaborations with nba2kstuff , nba-live.net and others! thanks for this from everyone!

-----------------------------------------------

to install the dream team:
1 - download it
2 - unzip it into any directory
3 - click on INSTALL.BAT to install
4 - click on UNINSTALL.BAT to remove

it is alpha and some glitches remaining, but it is still fun and looks ok and working! not enuff time to find and fix all gfx problems, etc. it shuold provide a template for future professsional level patches, as it containes working example for almost all the components to customize the 2003 game!

hey, have you seen my Sonics 80's court for live 2000? I don't know if it looked exactly. When my computer allows me I'll jump to 2003. Will you upload the files from the old site?

Hey Don,
That EAZIP prog is great... and now we have EAGRAPH getting done by Brien we are getting all the tools we need to patch 2003.... just a question though... Are you planning on doing the custom team creation program for 2003? Like the one you did for 2001.. It should be heaps better with 2003 and the way it can easily be customised...

Thanks again for doing EAZIP... cause the whole setting custom art to 1 thing and just creating directories sucks.. it slows down the game way too much... I'd much rather patch the viv files with my updated graphics and have the game run fast... and now with EAZIP I can do that easily... Thanks heaps mate...
