I back anyone and everyone who cries, bitches, pisses, moans, gripes, pukes and groans about nba live 2003. The first thing people wanna say when someone complains about nba live 2k3...is "If you dont like the game...take it back". Well guess what? You shouldnt HAVE to take it back. EA should make an nba game that is so awsome that you dont want to take it back. I understand that EA took out features from 2k1 and 2k2 , like franchise mode etc. Is it just me? or is that the worst way to make people want to buy your game every year? Why in the bloody hell do they continue to make Madden sooo great every year...but I lost my "create team" feature in live 2k3? Have you played Madden lately? If that game were any more real, you would have to wear a damn helmet. Why dont they put that kind of effort into their nba games? DONT GET ME WRONG...I like 2k3......but why cant EA get the same "real" feel like Madden? Why is there excessive stealing and blocking issues? Is it because they know that there are AWSOME patchers out there(like the ones on this site)...and are drinkin on the job, and dont feel like getting off their asses to put forth the effort? So until we get that effort...please ..cry , bitch, complain, moan, groan, piss, and puke, then maybe if enough people do ..EA will give a flying crap about their customers.

I got a copy of Madden 03, physics is great in that game. My guess is that Live team is just lazy. They just code up AI like this:

if (steal or block) {
PG or SG run w/turbo to the other end of the court, and whoever has the ball pass to them, then ally-hoop, or layup, or dunk the ball.
}

*sigh*... but I did see/make some very nice plays... those are the good things, graphics is great...

no 2D pictures -> why not? they don't take up much spaces on the disc (lazy again, I guess)... so sad... even MS release services packs or patches for their bugs... why can't EA???

If you don't like a game, yet don't take it back, you're saying to the creators "This game is good enough".

If you really don't like it, don't complain to us - I mean, we care and everything, but we already -know- what the game is like. Take it back to the shop, demand your money back and send a message to EA.

I'm not trying to be an arse about this but if you feel that strongly, then you need to take appropriate action.

First off, sorry you feel that way. I think it all evens out because Madden doesn't let anyone edit sh!t.Triburon is real pricky about people editing there graphics. On the other hand EA Canada has always let us patchers patch the game with ease. There are alot of people who would think Madden is not so perfect. Not to mention, they are 2 different development teams. There will always be the debate "what if the madden team made live" but they will never make live so we need to retire that argument.

Man, I don't know about you, but if I don't like anything--I either throw it away or return it. It seems to me that you are from the US, so it wouldn't be impossible to return your item. Even if you get it at Best Buy or something, just tell them that it won't run on your cpu and you don't deel like upgrading for a game. Trust me, it works especailly at Best Buy or Circuit City. I've done it before. If you got it at EB or Babbages, they have like a 14 day return for credit policy.You've got options--but if you keep the game and keep coming here and complaing, you're losing your own battle with the game.You will not beat EA by your self.But if you feel so strongly that this is a Sh!tty product, then do something about it.

I love this game and I know it will just get better especially after these patchers and roster makers finish. I'm officially addicited to this game and can't get enough of it. I know there are alot of people that feel the same way too. Basically, you can't please everybody--and I'm sorry that you hate this game--but please for your own good--do something !

Ok...maybe I came off too strong...I wont take the game back...because I really dont think there is a better nba game for the pc, and I KNOW that this site of patchers does damn good work...I've downloaded 8756587678787875 things for live 2000.. I just wish that after all these years they could come closer to perfecting it than they have...your post about the 2 different development teams makes sense..I didnt know that. I just came here under the heading "gripes" to let off steam. Like Coco..I do love the game I just got mad when I first played it. I hope noone is pissed at my post.

I think everyone feels a bit of frustration whenever EA doesn't make NEEDED changes to improve the game.

After $40 and waiting 2 years we have the absolute right to complain!

If even if I could return the game, (which I can't) what would I get! All I can get is a credit, and for what, and I don't buy many games except for EA and EA sports titles. I already have Hot Pursuit 2.

This is the only PC Basketball game on the market. EA has a monopoly!

If EA has any respect for their customers why don't they patch the damn games and listen to what customers say! I don't recall ever seeing this on any wish list; make the game fast as hell, totally unrealistic, childlike like a toy for kids, grossly exaggerated and full of repetitive childish animations!

I am not a child and I expected a realistic simulation not a toy!

Instead of just complaining here we should all write to EA and let them know what we think! We haven't had a good product since Live 2000! I will never again preorder one of their games without first playing the demo. If the next one is this bad, boycott it!


"It's in the game" on what planet! I have never seen an NBA game that looked like this!

the game does suck when you play by yourself against the computer, or you play versus on 12 minute quarter's... But I have 2 Firestorm Thrustmaster's and a svideo cable to hook my pc up to my TV, I've made cyberfaces for all my friends, On those Saturday's when everyone's too broke to go to the club, or my girl is actin up, we get a 30 pack, a half of the weed and play tournaments on superstar with 5 min. quarter's... Sure, the fg%'s are like 60 to 54 at the end of the game, but its fun as hell... I think they made this game for that specific purpose, and in that way, it works! But the simulation aspect does suck ass...
