Problem playing LAN game

I am trying to play NBA 2003 via a LAN game of 2 pc's. Even though the game starts ok ,after a while the two players don't "see" each other and each one plays with the computer.We can't even complete a quarter.
Does anybody know why is that?

Maybe pach instaled are diferents

More likely a connection/firewall issue.
