Use a burned CD?

Fri Nov 22, 2002 3:39 pm

Is there any way to use a burned copy of Live 2003? I usually make copies of my games and use that disc just to keep the original scratch-free. It'll crash when I try to load it with the burn copy in.

i would suggest to just use your original cd 'coz, that was the purpose of buying it, isn't it? but if you insist keeping ur cd scratch-free, try installing the whole cd contents on your hard drive then run the install program from there.

another thing, don't mention anything about burned stuff here. this stuff is advocating an anti-piracy program and you might be kicked out of the site. just a precaution man

coo, thanks Francis. 8)
And I did buy it, in case anyone wonders. I just like to keep the original discs mint, just because.... but if it doesn't work it doesn't work, doesn't bother me any. :)

If you want to make a backup of the NBA Live 2003 your welcome too,

You are permitted under copyright law to make a backup copy for "archival purposes".

You can bypass copy protection to do this in Australia but I am not sure of the legality in the US.

I guess the only way to make me a workable copy would be to get an Austrailian version of CloneCD then. :) And it's cool that you have Stockton to Malone because I'm from Utah!

you can go to gamecopyworld, search for them in google, they have instructions on how to make working back-up copies of original games.
