2 Player Sidewinder Problem

Wed Nov 20, 2002 12:57 pm

The Game still runs an everything goes. But i have one big Problem:

I couldm't play with two Playeres with Gamepads. The Gamepads where found in the in Win XP and i could use them for other Games. There are no Problems with my System. But in NBA 2003 the Game will only found one Sidewinder Gamepad. So i can only play with two Players whe the second one plays with the Keys. Did anyone knows why the Game couldn't find my second Gamepad? I wanna to play it with a friend but he wants to use a Gamepad too.

Sorry for my bad English, i'm from Germany.

Many, many people are having this exact problem. I went searching through this forum, an ea sports forum, and a PC tweaking forum. On all 3 there are several people that are having this problem. I would think that EA would put out some kind of patch. The problem, whatever it is, seems to be the software, not a particular hardware problem. If I find any sort of solution, I will post it ASAP. Do the same if you find anything.

Do all the people having this problm have windows XP? if so have you installed the service pack?

Not sure if that has anything to do with it, but it could.

I have XP and just installed the Service Pack 1 (SP1) and all of the sudden, LIVE WORKS GREAT!

I suggest installing xp sp-1 to make Live 2003 work.
