Passing the ball in 1 on 1???

How do ya make the player pass the ball in different ways when playing 1 on 1?
I can only make a player toss the ball and letting it roll on the ground to the opponent.
If ya know how to make a crossover pass please write back.

you just push other buttons at the same time as pass.

As Colin said, holding down buttons such as turbo will cause you to check the ball in different ways, though I can't remember which other buttons/keys force the different passes (I'm pretty sure turbo+pass rolls the ball along the ground).
