tryin to get rid of this jersey

I got a problem with this orange jersey that i did not install it for the Atlanta Hawks, but it appears in the Jersey Select screen. I looked in the teamgear dbf file, and there is no info about this jersey, i looked in the xteam.viv file, and there is no .fsh file for this jersey, but it just appears in the Jersey Select screen for Atlanta. Don't want it to appear in the screen, and if I select this jersey, the players actually wear it in the game!Someone help me please!:wink:

An orange jersey you didn't install...is it actually the Atlanta Hawks jersey? It could be a problem with your video card that is causing the jerseys to be displayed incorrectly.

that orange jersey only appears for atlanta. first i thought i did something wrong in the teamgear.dbf file, maybe i typed in an extra line for a jersey, and that i dont have the jersey in the xteam.viv file, but i checked many times, and im sure that i did not type any extra line, but it still appears!! ahh, hope i can soon solve it.

copy over a new xteam.viv from your cd. its in one of the zip files

If that doesn't work, uninstall your game (making sure to delete any files and folders that are not automatically removed) then reinstall it. If that doesn't work...then I don't know what else you could do.

It's strange there's no data related to it in the dbf file, and no .fsh exists for it...does it appear in addition to the Hawks' other jerseys (2002-03 Home, 2002-03 Away, 1985-86 Home)?

i dun wanna reinstall it, cos im playin franchise now, and it took me sooo long for the updates of jerseys and courts.
i dunno, the jersey is a HOME jersey (jerseytype 0), for Atlanta(team 0), necktype (0), sockcolor (0), no year (0), accolor (0).
like i said before, first i thought i typed an extra line in the dbf file, maybe an extra ID field, and the rest of the fields are zero, well, it matches, team zero, jerseytype zero, necktype zero, etc.
but i couldnt find the extra ID number.

You mentioned you have installed jersey updates. It's possible that the patch has been installed over the Hawks' 2002-2003 Home jersey. Otherwise, there would be an additional entry in the database corresponding to it.

I did not installed any jersey over the Hawks' 2002-2003 Home jersey, cos now the jerseys i can use are the 2002-2003 both away and home, two alternates( one black, one golden), & the classic one.
that is, i installed 2 new ones, and i can use both of them, the default ones are ok too. just that this orange one appeared from nowhere.

Well, I can't offer an exact explanation for that, except that it might be the by-product of one of the jersey patches. Do you still have all the patches you've installed ie. the .zip files? You might have to uninstall/re-install the game (deleting any folders that are not automatically removed), then re-install all the patches, seeing if one of them causes this problem.

That's really all I can suggest, else you're stuck with that extra jersey.

i think he's referring to the red jersey with a neon green letterings on it that says "bad artist no cookie"

hey, i think its that too, but i just fixed it yesterday, i edited the teamgear dbf file all over again. but can u tell me why it happens? cos i dont want it to happen again. thanx!!

The only cause I can suggest is a problem with the installation of the jersey updates you are using, if not with the art files themselves then in the process of adding them to/editing the database.
