How to add custom bands to a player?

I've converted some faces from 2000 for my game, but i don't know how to add the custom bands for players eg. having numbers, symbols, words etc on the bands. i've read the customization guides, but i'm not sure what files to add. could someone please help me? thanks

I found one way to do it, but is there another way? just using the player_acc.fsh way to add bands looks like the band is flat. are there any textures for bands? I know headbands have textures and i'm sure the bands have texture, because in create player, you can see the bands aren't just flat. so is there a way to add custom bands to a player so that the bands aren't flat?
