CANNOT hit from downtown!!

Man, this shit is getting frustrating. I am using DK's patch & I play with the Rockets. I play smart, pick 'n roll, etc etc to try & get open looks. But even when I am wide open I miss everything from 3pt range. I mean I got guys like Francis, Mobley, Rice, Griffin who can all shoot the 3 & I reckon I am shooting like <5% from downtown. It is really frustrating. I have read various posts that say release early, release late, release @ the top of the jump & have tried everything. I am going fucking bananas man as I can't hit a trey.

try switching shot control to CPU. that way it releases the ball at the best time.

or just go back to the default roster and then you complain how you can't miss from downtown and how it is "too EASY to score"....

Don't forget greenmig, with the toolkit (or any editor) not only may you adjust ratings globally, but for your custom team as well. Why not just increase your team's (PG,SG,SF) 3PT ratings until you are satisfied with the results? Even with using the tweaked rosters, its always a good idea to +/- ratings for your custom team in order to keep the game competitive.
