That doesn't make a lick of sense. You say how do you download it, then later say instead of downloading it. You don't have to install it immediately when you download the file. Keep it on your desktop or something, then if you wanna view it, then do it.

Psuedo-Shammond, I think what dc1314 is saying is, how do you just look at the files, not install them, he just got his lingo wrong.

dc1314, you will need a program that can open dbf files, Excel, DBViewer, etc. then open the players.dbf or teams.dbf or any of the files in order to read them.

he wanted to ask if he can look what the roster exactly updates and if he likes it without having to do something that cant be undone...
just download the roster, backup your currentdb folder in:
my documents/nba live 2003/database
and then after you did it install the patch...
if you dont like it then take the backup you did and overwrite it on the currentdb folder to gain your original roster again.

Actually, I think he just wants to look at it because he has an X-Box. In which case, my advice of getting a program that can view dbf files would be what he needs to know.
