A quick question about rebounding.

Tue Jan 20, 2004 12:12 pm

I have a franchise with the Houston Rockets, and the stats for my players are pretty realistic (ie. Francis 20.5 ppg, Mobley 17 ppg, and etc). However, Yao Ming just isn't getting a lot of rebounds: around 5.5 rpg. How do I increase his rpg to make it more realistic?

Are you playing the games, or are you simulating?

I am actually playing the game. I heard some stuff about using "Box Out" or "Crash Boards", I dunno if that's gonna help or not.

just play better defense and youll get your boards. thats how it works in real life. dont cover guards manually, just take yao or kelvin cato and cover the post, then when shots go up from the perimeter, youll have first dibs at grabbing then with yao or cato/taylor.

plus offensive boards should be way easy to get with yao.

with the bucks, i usually pull down 8-12 boards with either joe smith, skinner and gadz... sometimes 2 get that amount. and here there one guy will have an amazing game. like 16-17 boards.

also, use the R1 button to box your man out... i think its R1, my brain isnt working.
