How to get realistic foul numbers?

I have an average of 12 fouls per game (playing in Superstar, 8 minutes and tweaked rosters) which is pretty unrealistic as the nba averages are some between 18-28 fouls.
Maybe i have this numbers as I cant play good defense with the keyboard so the CPU goes inside easily with no opposition from my side.
Do you guys have this foul numbers playing good-D with Gamepads?
P.S. I moved deffensive fouls to 80% and offensive to 90%, now i get realistic numbers for the CPU opponent but not for me.

get a gamepad dude....you will love the game heaps more...fouls etc will be more realistic for sure...i use a single analog gravis right now & the game is cool...i am thinking of getting the dual logitech though as then i rekon it will be even looser esp on the freestyle & setplays...gotta have gamepad to get full gaming experience imo
