Editing rosters with DBF Viewer Pro

Hey guys..
quick question a/b editing different player's stats with DBF Viewer Pro

when i go to some stat..say FGPBASE for Kobe Bryant with the original players.dbf file that came with the game..his FGPBASE says 75..however when i run the game..the in-game editor says something like 89 for his FG rating..why is this?

how do i edit his stats according to different multiplication values that ppl suggest (ie. FGPBASE*.7)...because what i WANT to do is to take 89*0.7 NOT 75*0.7
is there some kinda conversion factor between the editor's values and the actual game stats?

sorry if this is a confusing post..
and plz don't tell me to refer to some previous post a/b how to edit stats cuz i alreayd know the mechanism of doing it

The in game ratings range from 50-99. The DBF ratings range from 0-99. For example, a 50 in DBF is a 75 in the game.

I'm not exactly sure what you mean by the rest. Do you want the in-game ratings to show up in the DBF so they can be edited there.

Explain this and I'll see what I can do or anyone else for that matter.

oh basically i just wnated to tone down some of the FG ratings for players globally by a factor of say 0.8
i just dunno how to do it within the editor and have it reflect in the game with the SAME values since they're not equal

i want to make kobe's FG rating in the game go down from 89
so for instance: 89*0.8=71.2

but i can't do that accurately since in the editor kobe's FG stat starts at 75 instead of 89

oh and yes i do want to have the in-game ratings show up in the editor properly..how do i do that??

When you view the ratings using the dbf editor, the ratings range from 0-99. These ratings are then translated by the game ranging from 50-99. So basically, the game takes the number, divides it by 2, then adds 50 to it. For example.. a 60 in the dbf will translate as 80 in the game -> (60/2)+50=80. A thing to notice is that a 60 and a 61 will both become an 80 in the game, but in gameplay, the "higher" 80 will have a better chance of making a shot.
