invest in another operating system other than ME, for ME is good for system crashes for every meal of the day and DOS compatability, if you just can't let go of ol' DOS..

you have the minimum amount of memory required to run... more would be better. Also, how many hertz do you have on your processor (NBA Live 2003 demands a PII 450 processor or an equivalent) ?

Could be a combination of many things. I suggest you d/l the newest catatlyst drivers (3.6) from www.ati.com first.
To be honest, there could be hundreds of things off the top of my head that could be wrong, but we need more info in order to help you.

Get the newest drivers for your graphics card @ ati.com
just follow the links. I have a feeling it may be outdated graphics card drivers in your case.

Info needed:
CPU
Motherboard
Amount of RAM
DirectX version
Sound card
Exactly what happens when you try to start the game

The problem you gave is very very vague, and is very hard to pinpoint what's wrong. Are there no error messages??

Off the top of my head, it can be many things but the absolute best way to fix it is to start fresh by re-installing windows (preferably WinXP). Then install your drivers for sound and video card (the latest versions), install directX 9b, install NBA Live and try again. If it doesn't work on a clean system, most likely it's a hardware problem or incompatibility with something in your computer.

Right click "my computer" on your desktop and click on properties.
At the bottom it should show you the amount of ram you have, the cpu type and speed in mhz.
Go to the device manager tab next, and under sound, video, game controllers double click it. Find out what your sound card is.

Did you download the newest display drivers from ati yet?

And you still didn't answer what exactly happens when you try to start Live 2003.
