Fadeaway Jumper Technique

Postby alexlive on Thu Nov 21, 2002 11:37 am

Anyone master the fadeaway jumper? I like to set it up with someone like (young) Jordan or Kobe on the low post, but it is a very hard shot to make.

Any advice?

It is hard to make that shot go in, but i think KOBE is doing just fine.

i use MJ on that type of shot a lot. I even had him beat Philadelphia on a buzzer beater fade away from 15ft. I think it's in the release. It's not like the ordinary jumpers where you release at the highest point of the jump. I think with the fadaways, you have to release it a little on the way down, but not too much on the way down. Hope this helps.

yep, that is 100% true
coz the top of the jump, in real life as well, is too early, u have to hang there for a bit, guys like nowitzki, jordan, kobe, etc, its easy to do with them
