the "Save Failed - Insufficient Free Space"...

I mailed the EA-Tech support about the "Save Failed - Insufficient Free Space" error. This is what i got in reply:

Hi,

Thanks for contacting Electronic Arts!

If you are getting a message saying you do not have enough space to save a game, please delete
the contents of the Temp and Temporary Internet Files on your hard drive.

For Windows XP users:
- Double click the “My Computer” icon on your desktop, then double click the icon for the C:
Drive.
- Double click the “Documents and Settings” folder.
- If you have more than one profile on your machine, double click the folder with the name of
the profile you were logged in with when the game was installed. Next (or if you do not have
multiple profiles on the machine), click the folder named “Local Settings”.
- In here you should see folders named “Temp”, and “Temporary Internet Files”. Delete any files
found in these two folders.
- Next, follow the initial steps again, but instead of double clicking the “Documents and
Settings” folder, double click the folder named “Windows”.
- You should see a folder in here named “Temp” as well, and you want to delete the files found
in this folder.

For Windows 98/ME/2000 users:
- Double click the “My Computer” icon on your desktop, then double click the icon for the C:
Drive.
- Double click the folder named “Windows”.
- You should see folders named “Temp”, and “Temporary Internet Files”. Delete any files found in
these two folders.

i don't know if this works or not, but it seems about right...

Well that's a no-brainer. Great help from George.

What a stupid, useless reply from EA. I have 50 gigs free on my hd and they're tellin me to delete 20 megs worth of temp files? Unless they somehow coded Live 2003 to be linked with your temporary internet files, I think this answer is completely useless and just flat out stupid. It doesn't even make sense.

I've found 2 ways to fix this problem myself:

1) reinstall Live 2003 in another partition in your computer. This fixed it for me.
2) reinstall Live 2003 with a setting different from your original setting of either a max, medium, or minimum install. For some reason this also sometimes works. (very rarely though)

You can try their way of fixing it, but in my experience, 9 times out of 10 it doesn't work and if u really think a/b it, makes no sense at all and shouldn't work.
