i dont know if this maybe could be the solution. maybe a tweaked roster update where "hardiness" is set lower will help.

I have seen an injured player ,it was at the end of the third quarter and i tried to do an intentional foul and then payton was injured (for the quarter)...and i have picked a techincal foul.

my roster gets injured players... not all that frequently, but it def happens

Did you see the ingame injury simulated on NBA Live 2003 during their "GameBreak" program (just now)? They showed a preview of the Sonics vs. Trailblazers on the game and it had Payton twisting his ankle. I have not seen any ingame injuries myself.

imho... i ll bet that cut sequence they showed during the sonics v. blazers game was made just for TNT... i could nt see them puttin it in the game... tell me if you see it tho...

Inside the dbf there're injury ID, injurydate and recoverydate.
It's possible to insert injuries for Camby, Brand, Odom, Shaq and Carter.
But I haven't figured out the injuryID yet. There's also a INJURY dbf file with a list of injury ID but no description and I have no idea which injury id is repersenting which injury. Shaq's injury ID is 228, not playble in the beginning of the season, of course you can edit him. See if anyone can figure the injury ID out. Now i'm going to sleep.
