Complete Team Ranking

I've tweaked my own rosters. Now I wanted to play a Exhibiton game. But there I found something crazy:
the complete rankings of the teams are totally crap! The Mavs rank on 28 while the Wizards lead!
So I tried it out and played the Mavs against the Wizards. In superstar I won easily by 20 pts. Normally I' m not so good in superstar, so that made me wondering again!

Is it possible, that there is no relationship between the shown ranking in the screen where you can choose the teams and the real ranking they have when you play?

I'm pretty sure it's true, by default Memphis is rated something like 13th, Milwaukee is something like 27th and San Antonio os around 18-21 too. The team ranking's system is all wacked out, don't judge anything by it.

Skilled play overcomes the team rankings. As Colin said, you can't judge the outcome of a game by the team rankings.
