My specs aren't even close to what you have now, so I can't really comment on running the game at maximum detail. But if you can't run the game at maximum detail now (with good framerates), then you will definitely notice a difference.

If you're planning on getting NBA Live 2004 and you're an avid PC gamer, an upgrade wouldn't hurt, so long as you're prepared to shell out the money. :)

i have about the same specs except i use a geforce 4 ti 4600, I don't think 2004 will be a lot different. I play live maxed out on 1600 x 1200 resolution with no problems.

Your proccessor seems to be good enough, if anything maybe a new video card. But, I'd wait and see. You should be ready with your specs for 2004.

I've got a GeForce 4 Ti 4200. Unfortunately, I'm still running a PIII 550 with 256 MB of RAM. As soon as it's feasible, I'm looking to upgrade.

It's because of both. Most mainstream graphics cards can display at 1600x1200 nowadays. However, if your monitor does not support resolutions that high you will be limited.
