How to input % numbers in DBF-viewer?

Have a problem with reducing the ratings by %.if i tipe in for instance: FGBASE%80 it gives weird results. Every number over 49% doesn't a change in the ratings at all. Under 49 it doen't calculate correct. Could anyone help me with this problem?
