How to install shoes without changing CUSTOMART to 1 ?

Postby bats on Thu Mar 27, 2003 12:13 pm

is it possible to install shoes without enabling customart?
I put my custom jerseys by using EA editor.

I hate enabling Customart 1 coz it makes loading VERY SLOOOW.
my CPUs pretty fast. i can play NBA live at max detail settings (640x480 res).

I cant seem to install the shoes by using EAEditor.
for example, I copied bshoes.fsh to kobryan.viv.
nothing happened.

here's another one, I copied shoes.fsh (from the Ultimate SHoe patch) onto xplrcmn.viv ,nothing happened.

you need to use custom art so your patches work, or you cant have them :( If you are going to import shoes you need to put the bsho.fsh file into the kobryan folder which is inside the xplayer folder which is inside the render folder which is inside your NBA Live 2003 folder. The "kobryant" rule is, if you have a dirk nowitzki patch, you wanna write his first 2 letters of fst name and first 5 letters of last name. (dinowit)
i dunno bout the ultimate shoe patch, I havent used it.

There ya go

I weas finally able to make it work!
i accidentaly copied shoes.fsh onto xcommon.viv.
I should have copied it onto xlrcmn.viv
i used EA editor.

u can now select the shoes from the edit player screen.

in order to make Kobe and the other stars wear the shoes you have to change theor shoe field in the player.dbf to a corresponding number.

evrytime i have a new shoe, i just copy it onto xlrcmn.viv!
