Jersey numbers not showing up quite right.

Hi,

I recently did a jersey patch by creating the .png files from scratch in Paint Shop Pro, adding the appropriate transparancies and importing them using GFXPak 0.59. The numbers show up ok in the game when viewed at close range in replay, but they seem blurred and uneven from a distance. Up close I can see bits of the transparent color showing through, and even some discoloration in the numbers.

When I view the instant replay, the number head-on and close up everything looks fine, and everything looks fine in EAGraph. This problem doesn't occur with "built-in" jerseys, so maybe I'm not using the texture correctly, or not the right file type?? How would I add the proper texture to the numbers? Are there any tutorials on how to properly customize the number graphics? I can attach a few of the .png files and the .fsh if necessary.
