'black' shoes

ok, i tried to do some things with shoes in the game and there is one thing i wonder;
what's wrong whith the shoe if they appears all black in the game, no textures or anything, just black.
is there some general error or could there be several things wrong whith the shoe?

I've had this happen with generated rookies. If you look in the players.dbf, the players with "black" shoes all have some number other than 0 in the SHOE field. Just change this number to 0 and they should have standard, default shoes during a game.

but if i want the player to have a shoenumber, (i need to have it like that with the thing i want to do with the shoe)
kinda hard to explain though...
