Adobe Photoshop Question????

I have been using psp and I decided to try Photoshop. How do I copy a selected image and paste in in a new section? Like from a real life pic to a fsh image? :?:

Like in psp I copy and paste into selection and it fills the area I selected. In photoshop I click on copy then paste into and it doesn't fill the entire selected image.

just rezise the selected area (the area you pasted in to fit the image, alough if the image you pasted is smaler, the quality will become worse.).
