NBA- Live is not formatted to use the rumble feature. Thats only available in games that are coded to use it.

Pare, are you experiencing delays in button controls during free throws? I just got my Rumblepad around 2 weeks ago and ever since, I'm having this trouble with free throws.

I'm using Windows XP, AMD Athlon 850MHz, 256SDRAM, GF3 Ti200 64DDR. What's your setup?

Thanks.

Ramado, can you tell me what your detail settings are? Your (FPS) frames per second?

I'm just wondering because I couldn't get a satisfactory FPS rating with my current specs (as compared to yours, no offense). How do you do it?

I recently upgraded my Athlon 850MHz (200FSB) to Athlon 1.133GHz (266FSB). So far, I haven't seen much difference in my FPS score.

Andrew, if you're reading this, can you give us some pointers?

My Detail Settings in NBA Live 2003 are:

Player Details: High
Bench Details: Low
Shadows: Low
Environment: Medium (or was it Low?)
Crowd Animation: Off
Lighting: Low
Court Details: Medium
Crowd: Low
FPS score: 32 - 48
I couldn't remember most of the menus, sorry. :P

Sorry guys, your specs are superior to mine. I'm also unfamiliar with that gamepad, I use the Thrustmaster Firestorm.

dude!!!! that's a good upgrade... i'm planning to upgrade to an athlon processor as well maybe in the next couple of months... actually m stil happy with my system... don't monitor my (FPS) coz as long as the game runs smoothly its ok with me... maybe you should get the latest detonator driver for your vid card... it really makes a big difference when it comes to video card performance... i use the default settings since i only have a geforce 2mx vid card... or maybe you should try to disable some programs running in your pc while playing.... those that are located in your taskbar like antivirus programs... disable the screensaver too

Ramado, I already have the latest drivers on everything. I'm just having a hard time with the settings. Anything less than the best possible visual performance out of my hardware is unsatisfactory!

Note: I always close all other programs when playing my game - like as in a frest restart. I don't run any programs in the background and I always prefer all my memory allocated for NBA Live 2003. Talk about being a die-hard NBA Live fan (and be disappointed with its gameplay).

Uhm... am I being too demanding? :P

its okay... nba live got me hooked as well... haven't the time anymore to play my other games except fro C&C generals which i bought recently... your computer should be able to give you more than normal FPS considering the minimum requirements of live 2003. how about defragmenting your drive? have you tried that yet?

I don't need defragmentation. It doesn't concern with file arrangement or hard disk rpm (which is 7200rpm). My suspicion is on drivers, that's why I'm asking about your driver version.

Playing NBA Live shouldn't be this frustrating, should it?

You've never lost a game at the buzzer have you? Still, at least that's frustration with your own performance, rather than your hardware's. :?

Kind of off topic but i was reminded of a playoff game i played the other week...
It was the 4th quarter with about 5 seconds to go...i was down by 1 point...I shot from three > miss > duncan rebounds > i panic > pushed pass instead of shoot and it passes to my PF and the buzzer sounds  ... LOL
If i had of just pushed shoot i would've dunked it and won! But i was eliminated out of the playoffs because of my silly mistake...

Andrew,

No, I've experienced frustration playing NBA Live before.... with cpu shooting buzzer beaters. :P I hate it when they're down by 20 and all of a sudden, they win by 1 shooting the near-half-court 3-point-shot buzzer beater. It gets so frustrating.

Ramado,

Logitech Rumblepad driver version. I already have nVidia's 41.09 driver.

I have a Logitech Wingman Rumblepad, and I use the driver that Windows XP installed when I plugged it into the USB port. I've had no problems with it.
