MegaModifier-Like Program

Postby ZipBreak on Thu Jan 09, 2003 1:48 am

Hi folks!

I've written a program in Delphi which very much mimics the MegaModifier sans some features. I wrote expressly to be used in franchise mode. It can save, load and apply a whole batch of modifiers on either the whole players.dbf, or just the rookies.

Unfortunately, I don't have any webspace to host this for ya'll, so if anyone wants to do so for me, I'll be glad to send it back.

BTW, this program does not require anything else except Windows. No BDE, nor Excel, nor Access required. It's around 870K, give or take...

Ahm .. can you maybe specify this a little bit more? What does this thing do exactly?

The program works like the MegaModifier (part of the NBALive Tool) with the following differences:

* It does not require excel
* It can save modifier instructions en masse, and be able to load and apply en masse also.

A concrete example:
If you want to change two stats, say, FG and 3PT by 80% and 70% respectively. You simply add an operation to the running list that reads: FG * 0.80, 3PT * 0.70
This list is important as it can saved, loaded, added to and applied all at the same time to the whole roster, or just to the rookies.

I'm not sure I'm any clearer though...

So i dont have to change every single player, i can instruct your program to change the ratings for every player, right?

Send it on over. If it works good I'll put it up on Geocities and hopefully they'll let everyone else d/l it. If not I will find somewhere else to put it up for ya.

Though I am wondering why you need someone else to do this. :?

TheBigEasy:
Right! You can in fact instruct the program to apply multiple modifiers to ALL the players, or just the rookies. I have only two filters since I experiment on the franchise mode with this program.

kobryant:
I tried that url and it says it can't register me because it does not support folks from my country (? weird eh?)

Pylon_Man:
Because I don't have webspace of my own and maintaining one just to host one file seems a bit of an overkill for me. I was hoping that maybe someone else have setup a site of their own and have 800Kb-something to spare.

Will this program allow me to edit a player so he can dunk from the 3-point line?

I've sent the file to the following addresses:

ko8e_8ryant@hotmail.com
kobe_8ryant@earlink.net
hygog6@yahoo.com.tw
joemimic@Yahoo.com

Sorry ignatus, hotmail said your address does not exist. Maybe one of those recipients can post the file on a webpage or something.

You can also post your feedbacks here. I want to improve the program if it will be of use to someone else other than me -- after all, I can always hard-code stuff *I* want to use. :)
