Whats the easiest way to edit rosters to effect real life...

Postby td3ph on Fri Jan 03, 2003 6:37 am

Whats the easiest way to edit rosters to effect real life trades. Doing it manually as in one by one seems to be to tedious for me. Is there an easier way? Hope someone can help me with this.

I made a pretty decent tweak of a roster and I'm quite impressed with the stats that I've generated from it. My tweaked rosters allows me to play defense the way that I would want each and every shot challenged. In other words...it allows me to play defense the way it is being done in real life. If anyone wants to give my tweaked rosters a try just post it here and i'll email it to you. Satisfaction guaranteed!

Hope someone can help me how to fix the roster trades the easiest way possible.

Thanks in advance! :D

I sent the rosters already. Hope you like it. Let me know what you tbink of it. as for me and my friends, we're quite satisified with it. We've also tried all those other tweaked rosters but somehow there was still lacking in their gameplay. Hope you have fun with these rosters as much as I enjoy it.

td3ph, is the game speed tweaked to be just a bit slower? I'd like to give the roster a try. TIA!

Yup, I tweaked the game speed also. As far as I'm concerned the speed that I'm using is just the right speed to be able to play defense without even affecting the freestyle dirbbling. I'll email it to you and let me know what you think

its on its way.

I have received some great reviews regarding this roster. I've created a winzip file to make it easier to unpack to your computer. For those who have tried it please post your comments so that if ever it needs to be tweaked more i would easily know what to do. Happy gaming!

Thank you!

Thanks for submitting your roster! I played a game as Nets:

Entire Game Dallas New Jersey

Points 96 104
Bench Scoring 36 32
Field Goals 37/91 46/71
Field Goal % .407 .648
3 Point FG 7/24 3/11
3 Point % .292 .273
Free Throws 15/19 9/13
Free Throw % .789 .692
Rebounds 20 40
Off. Rebounds 5 7
Def. Rebounds 15 33
Blocks 4 16
Steals 10 4
Assists 18 32
Turnovers 5 28
Fouls 9 19

You've made a good work, only one little suggestion: there are a lot of blocks, can you fix this? Overall i found it one of the best roster (also the hoopscitylive).

PS: can you update the roster with the last trades (Posey to Houston...) and the starting 5?

Thank you,
Ste79.

Thanks for the advice. I'll edit the trades and the rosters. Why dont you try playing it in superstar mode. This will definitely limit the blocks. Try playing in superstar and let me know how it went.Post the results.

Thanks for using the rosters.

I'm back from an exciting game! I played on superstar level (for the first time  ), cpu assistance off, fatigue on, shot control -- user; i've lost but the match has been tied till the last 30 seconds!
(me=Orlando, i played without tmac for a lot of minutes because fouls!)

Entire Game Utah Orlando

Points 117 112
Bench Scoring 45 24
Field Goals 46/79 43/71
Field Goal % .582 .606
3 Point FG 4/20 6/9
3 Point % .200 .667
Free Throws 21/25 20/32
Free Throw % .840 .625
Rebounds 26 36
Off. Rebounds 3 10
Def. Rebounds 23 26
Blocks 4 6
Steals 15 3
Assists 31 21
Turnovers 17 27
Fouls 27 20

As you can see, both cpu and me had a high fg%, blocks now it's ok, as you suggested to me....One thing: with some players, like tmac, it's easy to dunk even from the free line throw! PS: Stevenson of jazz had 33 points (33!!!!), almost of that dunking in my face!

Overall a good work, try low dunking values for more realistic actions.

Bye
