A Feature which EA forgot in NBA Live 2003

Postby #twenty5 on Thu Nov 14, 2002 3:01 am

Once again, just like in 2001, EA didn't give the possibility to save during the game. I think it's pretty bad, because it's not always possible to play a game without a break.

In former versions this was included and it was also on the wishlist for 2003. Doesn't EA respect the wishes of the game's fans?

What do you think???

Who needs a in-game-save ??? I would need this only when playing 12-min quarters, because a game then lasts about 1 hour. But with this game I can't play 12 min quarters cause the stats are absolutely unrealistic.

Live 2000 had this option. I played hundreds of games over the years and how often did I save in-game ???? Not even ten times

God forbid they didn't make an nba live 2003 for the PC? You guys would die. Geez, the game is fun and I'm just glad we got a game. Imagine if they canceled this year's release. I'm having fun, and if you read any of the interviews from OS and SGN--you would've already known that we weren't getting in game saves.

Get a clue.

you wanna B!tch about pety sh!t , go to the Gripes Section--

Obviously somebody got it illegal and did pay a single penny for it

Agree, I know it.
But it's still impossible how they "forgot" to add that

Code: Select all
Obviously somebody got it illegal and did pay a single penny for it

no, i payed for my copy and got it early.

Maltre,
if you feel so strongly about it, then why don't you major in computer design or engineering, and apply for a job at EA and try to do something about it. Return your copy! Simple huh

I find it funny that if it wasn't in game saves , it would be something else. People can't just be happy and try to enjoy the game. It's not even a week old yet--EA will always lose, because there will always be cry babies cying about anything they can. EA can produce the perfect game and some A-hole will complain about the font or something petty --then make a big deal about it. Live 2001 did not have in game saves and we all lived.

You can sit here and b!tch, I'm going to enjoy the game. Go back and play the live that you like and more power to you.

I haven't got the game yet, but I hoped for a in-game save option. In 2001 I had a problem with my mousepointer, it would stay in the game, and eventually, if I took a lot of time outs, made some subs, my game would crash in the fourth quarter. Not always, but I would say once in every five games. I had the same problem with the demo, so I hoped they made this option, so I could just restart from the beginning of the fourth or something like that. I play seasons, so it's annoying to play the Utah Jazz three times in a row.

But I agree, I am just happy to have some ball on my screen at all.

I'm working on it.

CoCoBeE wrote:I find it funny that if it wasn't in game saves , it would be something else.

Wrong. I did complain about the ingame saves, I just said it was ANOTHER thing EA forgot. I'm just not happy with the complete game. I was much happier when 2000 and even 2001 came out. Those were good games that I enjoyed. This is just a piece of crap.
I have no problem with giving credit for good games, like Mafia or GTA3 ... but this is bullshit

CoCoBeE wrote:It's not even a week old yet

LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL. Idiot, we're not talking about a bottle of wine that gets better by the years. It's a freaking pc-game

CoCoBeE wrote:EA will always lose, because there will always be cry babies cying about anything they can.

Again wrong, they will not lose if they but effort in the gameplay and realism, not the graphics. And watch out with the namecalling.

Again again again you are wrong, see above. Calling me an asshole ? Watch it kid.

I hate how ppl always say "looks like someone didn't buy the game", hell, I bought the game, its fun, sure, I dont have enough time for 2-3 complete 12 min quartered games, but I really dont care, ppl b*tch about wanting a game to come out, the game comes out, one feature they really "wanted" is not in the game and they assume its crap and want there money back. Sure, i'd be happy with in game saves, but I would be able to continue on and have fun playing the GAME then worrying about one stupid issue, and maltre, as for coco calling you an a-hole, if he did, I agree, mainly because you seem to think anyone who actually likes this game also didn't pay a dime for it

No not true, there are probably some braindead people who like it while paying lots of money for it.
I have to work hard for my money, maybe you guys just get it thrown into your hands.
And I am not bitching over one issue, let's make that clear.

It's just lazyness. I believe in 2001 they used the excuse "Not enough time".

This feature would take 10minutes to add to the game, it's quite simple, and many gamers would benifit. There has been several ocasions where i've had to leave a game because of other comitments.

Bottem line is EA took this feature out of NBAlive 2000, and havn't added it back in because they're lazy.

so I guess you were expecting to beat the game already in like 5 hours, and when you couldn't you blame EA!

3 words--RETURN THE GAME!

Wrong. I did complain about the ingame saves, I just said it was ANOTHER thing EA forgot. I'm just not happy with the complete game
.

Again, we already knew it wasn't in the game, why CRY over spilt milk.

I call them like I see them, return the game and buy Starting 5.

There are a lot of people who really like the game, then there are people who complain about petty sh!t and want the world to hear about it. Plus they forget to add the positive aspects of the game so one person would be lead to assume that the game sucks when it really doesn't.

Sometimes the game "loses" all controllers except the keyboard. I have to quit and restart it to get them back. Saving would be helpful in those situations.

Yeah of course, where should I be posting else, dickhead ? Vintage NBA Live ?
I want to warn people who haven't bought the game yet and also bitch about it, yes. That's my right ... wait .. privilege as a consumer.

And if I remember correctly, you started the namecalling.
