Live cards

1.You use your points from the task list to buy cards.

2.The cards are like NHL cards and Madden cards

3.Add easter egg cards, cheat cards, and celebration cards

I haven't played any of the Madden games, would you care to elaborate on the cards system?

Well, basically you earn points for completing certain tasks within the game such as scoring a touchdown, a 40 yard run, etc. There are 5 or 6 levels of tasks. Level 6 is hardest to do, Level 1 is easiest. If you complete a Level 6 task you'll get more points than if you did a Level 1 task. After getting a certain amount of points, you can buy cards. Cards can be used during a game. There're cheat cards, player cards, stadium cards and team cards. Each card is either a gold, silver or bronze. Gold being the best(full game), bronze being the worst(a play or 2).
Cheat cards basically make your game easier to play. One card is where instead of getting 4 downs to get 10 yards, you have 5.
Player cards are cards of players and it improves that players rating. For instance if I got a gold Terrell Owens card, it'd make him better for the game.
Team cards are unlocking old teams.
Stadium cards are unlocking stadiums.

Thanks. I'm not too fond of the idea either. The Dynasty/NBA Store Points in Live 2004 are alright, but I would prefer not to have unlockables in a sports sim, especially that cards system.

They've had that since 2001, I believe.

i don't see how straight up cheat's would be good for the game at all. pretty much all the people want's a real sim. game, and ading cheats and whatnot won't help it at all.
the thing they got in Live2004 is great, the EAStore. it's not to much diferent from what you said in your post, you get diferent points for diferent levels of tasks.

the only thing diferent from NBA Live 2004 and the idea you posted, is that in Live, there's no middle-hand (the Cards). but you can just buy those things directlly with the points you make, instead of fist getting points, then buying cards, then buying other stuff.
and also that there are no cheats in Live (expt for the unlockable shoes)

EA Store was good... I wanted more tho.. like customized bands... especially the straps on the biceps, and that extra large forearm band. EA should also add next year to the nba store is unlockable basketballs. Playing with the regular orange one gets boring, so it might be cool if they could add that in for next year too.

Maybe a card system with only unlockables. Like adidas, and1, and reebok shoes since you can only purchase nike shoes from the store.
