O´Neal, Johnson and Foster on IL

By Conrad Brunner > Oct. 29, 2004

Jermaine O´Neal, Anthony Johnson and Jeff Foster are expected to miss season-opener for Indiana, Coach Rick Carlisle said Wednesday night in a training.

Foster underwent surgery to repair cartilage in his hip Wednesday morning, Johnson suffered a fractured bone in his right hand and O´Neal´s injured left foot still lingering.

Pacers´ Coach Rick Carlisle wrote:"The surgery of Jeff went as well as it possibly could have. It was obvious when they got in there that the procedure was needed; it's going to take a while. You're talking about a 7-foot guy that probably can run a 4.8 40. His body is a highly tuned engine."

By Conrad Brunner > Oct. 29, 2004

The Pacers are happy. After some exams, it seems the injury of Jermaine O´Neal is not as serious as it was expected, and he will be part of the starters in the game in home against Boston.
But Jeff Foster and Anthony Johnson are not completely healed of their injuries.

So, the lineup against Boston will be this:

Code: Select all
     Indiana
C    D. Harrison
PF   J. O´Neal
SF   J. Mashburn
SG   R. Miller
PG   J. Tinsley

Bench
Code: Select all
     S. Jackson (SG)
     J. Bender (PF)
     A. Croshere (PF)
     F. Jones (SG)
     J. Edwards (C)
     S. Pollard (C)
     E. Gill (PG)

Injured/Suspended List

Code: Select all
     J. Foster (C)
     A. Johnson (PG)

Nice dynasty, any reason you traded Artest? He's dependable, unlike Mashburn.

I hope you play Jackson more then you play Miller.

I wanted a dynasty like the real life, when Artest was at a point to be traded to Sacramento for Stojakovic, but I traded him to New Orleans.

Right now, my starter is Miller because he shot more the 3.
