Pared's Sliders = Godly.

Postby Shaq Daddy on Sun Dec 26, 2004 1:44 pm

I just used Pared's sliders in my first NBA Live 2005 game today, and I won in a close battle against the Nuggets 102-107. Kobe kinda plays like he does in real life on this game.

I used the Slider settings from andrew......but i set the game speed from 36 or sum to 40 or 41 cause i just play 8 minutes on all-star.

Damn my first game with those settings was awsome....I started a Dynasty with the sonics. But before that i created Shawn Kemp he has a rating of 60 !!! Back to the Sonics you know. The first game was against the Cavs. I won in overtime 103 to 98. The stats and the final score where so realistic.....Kemp made 18 Points and grabbed 11 Rebounds.
Topscorer was Ray Allen with 32 Points 5 Rebounds 6 assists and 1 steal.
Lebron James got 28 but the most important thing to me are the teamstats. I hardly get 5 Blocks ( with the whole team ) and the cpu destroyed just 4 of my shots and 2 Lay ups that´ll make 6 blocks for the cpu in the entire game. I think its realistic ......

Thanks Andrew

i never played with custom slider settings before and i have to say its much more fun right now.

Anybody here working on updating player ratings? (sorry I keep asking!)

The next version of my roster update is going to be a huge ratings update, but I'm not maintaining a text roster and ratings update. Sorry.

hi all, im just wondering if anybody has any sliders for 12 minutes and allstar, but so that the scores are realistic? Everytime i play 12 mins, the score always ends up something unrealistic like for example one match i had finished 129-138.

thanks

mkballer.,..

use Andrew's sliders. I get very realistic scores ( run some set plays for both user and cpu btw ). for example: 93 - 80, 95 - 79...93-90 and of course a couple of games with 100+ scores.

G'day Andrew,

Is there any way I'd be able to view your ratings? (even if they are jumbled up and all over the shop)

Absolutely. You could open them with DB Commander and view the ratings. I could probably export the data to a file that's easier to read, without all the unnecessary data for a text roster update.

Njkroc's Nba Live 2005 All-Star Sliders

Postby njkroc on Thu Dec 30, 2004 1:23 am

Njkroc's All-Star Sliders

Quarters: 10
Camera: Press Box (you decide I like to see the whole court)

Game Speed: 36
Free Throw Difficulty: 73 (may go to 100)
Boundary Force Field: 18 (I base this off the speed)
Injury Frequency: 43
Fatigue Effect: 67 (still looking at this)
Charge/Block Foul Frequency: 50
Shooting Foul Frequency: 50
Reach-in Foul Frequency: 50
In-air Collision Foul Frequency: 50

User/Cpu Sliders
** I hate advantages so my sliders are always the same**

Steal Ability: 24
Interception Ability: 24
Shot Block Ability: 25
Dunk/Lay-up Block Ability: 25
Freestyle Effectiveness: 43
Dunk vs. Lay-up Frequency: 27
Substitution Frequency:(user 0 or 67)(cpu 67) *testing*
On-ball Defense Assist: 75
Offensive Rebounding: 51
Defensive Rebounding: 40
Fakeout Discipline: 39
Short Range Shooting: 40
Medium Range Shooting: 39
Long Range Shooting: 54
Dunk Percentage: 51
Lay-up Percentage: 40
Adjusted Shot Percentage: 55 **(cpu adjusted freq 25)**
On-ball Defense: 39
Poor Release Shot Percent: 63
Double-team Effectiveness: 77
Pro Hop Effectiveness: 40
Drop Step Effectiveness: 42

I'm still looking at these but in two games with Detroit I lost to the rockets and Toronto both were great games that came down to the wire.
Shooting percentages ranged from .340% - .480% I have been averaging about 2-4 steals a game about 28-32 rebounds and 5 blocks these stats will go up with increase to quarter length. I have been playing on 9 minutes but 190 is always the best.

Give them a try and please give some feedback.

Thanks, but I think 45 is ok. It seems that my loosing streak was caused by my poor ball releasing. I trained a little bit and now I shoot over 50% from the field and can win games.

Is there a silder which I can use to improve the cpu defense near the basket? I think it is far to easy to score in the post.

try increasing the on ball physical defense to 50 or 52 but doing so it would be a lot difficult to pass by a defender on the other hand it would be challenging.... enjoy....
